Saratoga County - Moreau Community Center - South Glens Falls, New York

Board of Directors

The Moreau Community Center is looking for prospective candidates for its Board of Directors, serving as a board member is one of the most challenging and rewarding volunteer assignments. Nonprofit organizations like Moreau Community Center are essential elements of vital communities. They enrich the quality of life, epitomize the highest societal values, and strengthen democracy.

The Board of Directors of Moreau Community Center are happy to announce that ground breaking for the new Regional Community Center of Moreau was held on May 18th at 10:30 a.m. Construction is set to begin soon with completion in 12 months! The new facility will enhance both the quality and variety of services to the Village of South Glens Falls, the Town of Moreau and the surrounding community. The new center will be for all ages and will have a swimming pool, gym, senior center/lounge, youth center, fitness center, day care programs, conference rooms, and much more.

The continued success of the Moreau Community Center depends upon public confidence and broad public support. A nonprofit’s board should reflect the diversity of the constituencies and the broader community, with this in mind the nominating committee is now trying to identify prospective candidates (individuals, businesses, organizations, etc.) and one of those candidates could be you.
