Moreau Nursery School
The Moreau Nursery School offers a variety of preschool activities for children prior to entering kindergarten. The three groups of learners, aged 2-5 years, engage in group story times, songs, learning centers, field trips and socialization in a safe, caring environment.
The Moreau Community Center provides a "Before-and-After-School" Latchkey program in each of the four elementary schools in the South Glens Falls School District. This enrichment program offers approximately 450 students a variety of healthy snacks and activities, such as arts and crafts, indoor/outdoor games, the "Mad Science" program and homework time.
Summer Pre-School Program
This program is for children who haven 't experienced the pre-school environment before entering kindergarten. Teaches children how to participate in a classroom, take direction from a teacher and work with numbers. Offered in August.
Head Start Program
The Head Start Family Education program is a combination of educational programs for limited income families. Parents help plan activities and field trips. Meets Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-noon; Thursday, noon-2:30 p.m.
Back to School Program
This program provides needed school supplies and clothing to children in grades K-5 in the South Glens Falls School District through individual and business donations.
Teen View
Through the use of skits, interactive role-playing and two weekend retreats, Teen View is an educational program that encourages healthy attitudes and behavior. At weekly meetings, community professionals discuss topics such as abstinence, contraception, HIV/AIDS, self-esteem and drugs and alcohol. Meets every Thursday, 7:00-9:00 p.m. during the school year. Sponsored by Mohawk-Hudson Planned Parenthood and the Saratoga Teen Pregnancy Prevention Network.
